What is the best thing a friend has ever done for you..in time's of stress or otherwise..
Simply been there for me and been themselves and cheered me up I think.

Well Goblin, you should feel priviliged. I wasn't gonna log on to the zone, but as I was just reading through posts, and truly believe in this one, I thought I'd log on just to post in here lol
The best thing that a true friend has ever done for me is treat me like a person, and an individual and respected me as such, and didn't treat me like a dormat, or sponge, or when the weathers fair and the sky is blue and all is perfect with the world. A true friend, one who really cares, is able to stick it out,, no matter what, and not be afraid to be honest when your wrong, but also, not afraid to admit when they're wrong either.
The best thing a friend has ever done for me, is not give up on me, but also one who has taken the time to try and understand my moods and well, me, but also takes the time to try to understand even when they don't. We all can be complicated sometimes, but when we truly care about someone, we don't walk away when it gets too tough, we try and see if there's anything we can do, weather it be to help that person, or simply say, "Hey! I'm here, i'm not going anywhere, and I'll be here when you come back."
So, yeah, to make a long story short, I have loads of friends, but not many true blue friends, the ones that stay. And I know friendship goes both ways, and I'm not perfect either, so I try and remember the qualities that I look for in a true friend, and when i care about someone, I try to be the best friend I can be.
And when I'm not, I try my damndest to make it right again, and say, "I'm sorry. I messed up," when I'm wrong.

...Last friday a guy who I thought was a prison sentence waiting to happen,helped me in a way that I could never have anticipated he kept a cool head while I was falling to bits...Stevie found Ardeth in terrible pain and immediately decided to drive us to the hospital, with the skill and daring of a bloody racing driver!...He sat with me for hours and listened to the Doctors, when I was unable to cope..........................
He's supported us ever since and with no expectations or demands, there is nothing extraneous about his friendship if anything he keeps sincerely apologising for his past behaviour...and at any other time I'd find that quite amusing...I would never have thought that a guy of 20 could have coped with this dreadful situation but Stevie has proved himself to us and we owe him so much...
Once my whole class was against me and bullied me and hurt me very bad. Only one girl, my best friend, was there for me and was even in my defence. We are not in touch anymore, but I keep remembering that a lot.
